What a weekend! I made it through my first ever bridal show and what an awesome experience it has been! I got to meet so many great people, vendors and I had an incredible time talking and displaying what I enjoy the most - PHOTOGRAPHY!  The bridal show took place at the beautiful Lake Natoma Inn in Folsom. I mentioned on an earlier post that this place is super special to me, Jason and I got married there almost five years ago. Yeah, time flies!

iconBriana & Lee | Fresno engagement photography

Sunday was an adventure for us! My hubby and I took a trip down to the central valley (Fresno) to meet up with Briana and Lee for their enagement session. I was excited but got really worried after looking at the weather forecast. We were trying to leave the rain behind, checking the radar and making sure that we make it to Fresno before it comes down hard. And we made it!!! Briana and Lee welcomed us with big hugs and took us to Lee’s garden where they wanted to have their pictures taken. First thing that came to my mind was “this is my dream garden!” Lee did such a great job building creating his very own vege garden. I wish mine looked like that! They had a lot of fun at the garden; who knew that pulling weeds would be so much fun ;)

Bri and Lee love to bowl. To capture some fun moments, we headed out to the nearby bowling alley. I was sooo excited to shoot at the alley and sooo impressed at their skills. Not only they played well, they also rocked the session there. Check out the photos below :)

Briana and Lee are such a beautiful couple in and out. They spread God’s words, help people to do better in life. I’m eagerly waiting for their big day to arrive. Oh, and if you are looking for beautiful, unique hair pieces, check out Briana Rose Etsy store. You won’t be disappointed!

iconSunny || Roseville Sacramento Portrait photographer

I have known Sunny for about four years now. We met at a community party and found out that we lived within 2 miles of each other. We exchanged phone numbers and business cards and that was it. Months later she invited me over to her house for dinner. We hit it off right there, we became friends. Sunny and I aren’t exactly alike. But there is something about our friendship that tells me that we will be friends for many, many years. We learned a lot about each other during this time. I already knew that she was sweet. But over time I learned that she is way more than just a beautiful woman. She embraced me with open arms. And I learned from her to accept life as it presents itself. She has faced the dark reality. But she came out of it to become stronger, more confident and even more beautiful than ever.

Sunny wanted to capture herself in the images, not the images of herself only. And I think we did it. We finally found a day when it wasn’t pouring outside. We started off at a near by park, ended at downtown Roseville. Sunny loves to read books. She believes that “one apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Never a day goes by without she having an apple :) She is also a fashionista! Especially with shoes! She has quite a few of those :) We wanted to bring in all the elements that represent her. She is a cheerful person, she loves to laugh. She is passionate about helping others. She is someone who will not show her back when a friend is in need. She truly has a genuine heart.

I was so excited to capture these images of Sunny. I love it when I get to document moments that are so important in life. I’m glad that I have Sunny to call a friend, I hope to share many more years of memories with her.

iconSneak peak | Roseville Sacramento portrait photography

This was supposed to be a slow and lazy weekend for me. But no, I realized one more time that I can’t really sit down and relax that easily. It’s like I have some restless-syndrome, if that even means anything. It’s also the Easter weekend. Rain had finally stopped, neighbors are out in the cul-de-sac, playing with kids and socializing. My rose bushes are starting to show some colors. I can’t wait until my garden blooms again, it’s been a long winter this year.

Here’s a sneak peak from Sunny’s portrait shoot this afternoon.
